My Wife age 30 yrs and two kids, she starts problems in backpain, joint pains, and medical test…result…calcium low…may i request you to please suggestion diet in the form of fruits n vegetables etc….

Best regards,
Rafeeq

Rafeeq, best sources of calcium are milk and buttermilk/curds. All dark green leaves and green vegetables also give you calcium. Other foods that contribute towards calcium intake are cheese, tofu, oranges, figs, dates, seeds and nuts, jaggery, all beans, fortified cereals. If you eat non veg, then small fish where the bones are eaten also provide calcium. Calcium alone is not enough. Make sure your wife gets sufficient Vit D also. Avoid salty foods as they cause loss of calcium.

This week’s answers:

Hello Doctor,

I am 19 year old Bangladeshi male living in the UK. I have had Vitiligo since 11 years old. I applied herbal medication from Bangladesh for 3 years, this re-pigmented many of my patches including around my eyelids.

However it did not re-pigment all patches and after I stopped using it for a while, the patches around my eyelids came back. I have now got the Bangladeshi medication again and am applying it again.

I have now also bought Psoralea Corylifolia oil as well as tablets to consume, and I will use this medicine while getting sun radiation. Is this medication good or worth it?

I have recently noticed that some white hair on my beard in in my face. Is this normal? I am a 29 years old male and my normal hair color is black. I have never indulged in drug/smoking activities. I have never even touched a cigarrette. so please guide me the treatment.
Rakesh Agarwal

Hi Rakesh,

Stress plays a vital role in early grey. Reduced water intake, reduced sleeping habits, day sleep, no proper sleep at nights, having spicy, salty fast foods and drinks, reduced anti oxidants causes this trouble. The most effective and well practiced home remedy is applying coconut oil processed with fresh curry leaves. This should be strictly applied on the white hair for 90 days. Gentle massage with this mixture for 15-20 minutes helps. Ayurveda Recommends Narasimha Rasayanam – Anti ageing rejuvenative medicine for this condition. Take 1 tablespoon with warm milk twice daily before food helps.

Arpit Gupta

Dear Arpit, , it is important that you look up a doctor who will examine your hormones , just to make sure they are not playing up for this repeated resistant acne, check your scalp for dandruff, use a medicated shampoo every day for the next 15 days . During this do not forget to oil your hair with a light oil like coconut based hair oil all along the hair till the tips , do not massage your scalp though. First measure is to use a right face wash … Try something with neem or tea tree oil or salicylic acid. Wash 3 times a day . Use a benzoyl peroxide cream at night on top of a very light moisturizing milk . But visiting a doctors is a must . Take care
